Tooyen — Fridge Inventory Management
This Privacy Policy explains how Tooyen ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the Tooyen mobile app and website (the "Service"). Tooyen helps you track items in your fridge to reduce food waste and manage your grocery budget.
When you create an account, we collect your email address and a password (stored as a one-way hash). If you sign in with Apple or another social provider, we receive your name and email as provided by that service.
We store the items you add to your fridge — product name, category, quantity, expiry date, optional photos, and barcode (if scanned). This data is associated with your account so you can access it across devices.
We automatically collect your device type, operating system version, app version, language, and usage patterns (such as which features you use). This helps us fix bugs and improve the Service.
If you enable push notifications, we store the device token issued by Apple Push Notification service so we can send you expiry alerts.
When you scan a barcode or take a photo of an item, the camera is used only at that moment. Barcode strings are sent to our product lookup partner; photos you choose to attach are stored on our servers as part of your inventory.
We do not sell your personal information.
We do not use your data to train third-party advertising profiles.

You can permanently delete your account at any time:
Once you confirm deletion, your account is signed out immediately and all personal data is purged from our active systems within 30 days. Anonymized backup copies may persist for up to 90 days for disaster recovery purposes, after which they are also deleted.
Tooyen is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us at tooyent@gmail.com and we will delete it.
We use HTTPS for all network traffic, store passwords as one-way hashes, and restrict access to personal data to authorized personnel only. No system is 100% secure, but we work hard to protect your information.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll notify you in the app and update the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated by push notification or email.
