Privacy Policy — Tooyen

Tooyen ("the app", "we", "us") is a fridge-management app that helps you track food items, reduce waste, and get cooking suggestions. We take your privacy seriously and collect as little data as possible. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.

1. Your account

Tooyen uses Sign in with Apple to create your account. When you sign in, we receive an Apple-provided user identifier and, if you allow it, your email address (which may be Apple's private relay address). We use these only to identify your account and sync your data. We do not use them for advertising and we do not sell them.

2. Your fridge data

The food items you add (names, quantities, units, categories, dates, and any photos you attach) are stored on your device and synced to your account in our secure cloud database (Supabase) so they're available across your devices and after reinstalling. This data is associated with your account identifier and is only accessible to you.

3. AI features

Some features are powered by AI — menu suggestions, the in-app chat assistant ("ถาม Tooyen"), and photo item-detection. When you actively use one of these features:

The relevant text (e.g. a list of items in your fridge or your chat message) and, for photo detection, the photo you select or capture, are sent over a secure (HTTPS) connection to our processing service and then to our AI provider, Anthropic (Claude), to generate a response.
This data is used only to produce your result. We do not use it to build a profile of you, we do not sell it, and we do not use it for advertising.
We do not retain this content on our servers after the request is processed. Anthropic processes the data under its own terms; see Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

4. Camera and photos

If you use photo item-detection, the app asks permission to use your camera or photo library. Images are used only to identify food items for that request and are sent for processing as described above. We do not access your photos for any other purpose.

5. Notifications

If you allow notifications, the app schedules local reminders on your device (for example, before items expire). These are generated on-device and are not sent to or through our servers.

6. Data we do NOT collect

No phone number.
No location data.
No advertising identifiers and no third-party analytics or tracking.

7. Children

Tooyen is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

8. Your choices

You can delete any item (and its photo) inside the app at any time. You can delete your account and all associated data permanently from Settings → "ลบบัญชีและข้อมูลทั้งหมด" (Delete account). You can revoke camera, photo, and notification permissions at any time in your device Settings.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
